Cough as a symptom accompanies several ailments ranging from the self-limiting but nevertheless, irritating common cold to the more serious cough associated with pathological ailments like asthma, or reactive airway disease, gastro esophageal reflux (GERD), allergies, and many bacterial and viral pulmonary infections. Corshe® - E is an expectorant and mucolytic - dissolving mucus secretions from the respiratory tract and promoting their discharge by the patient. Corshe-E is indicated for lower respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis and in reactive airway disease. Corshe® - S is a cough suppressant, which relieves the symptoms of cough associated with upper respiratory tract ailments. The main goal here is to provide symptomatic relief. It is also indicated as an suppressant in post nasal drip, in elderly patients, patients with history of hernias, prolapse, incontinence, post operative and convalescent patients, those with rib fractures, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and in concurrent therapy of pulmonary infections such as pneumonias and tuberculosis, among others. The plants used in this formulation have been selected from Ayurvedic literature especially for use in cough without expectoration. Corshe® - Expectorant is also formulated in a lozenge form. This easily dissolving and pleasant tasting triangular shaped lozenge has all the same active ingredients as the expectorant, in the same proportion, in a form that is user friendly and conducive to compliance. The all natural expectorant and suppressant are formulated for pediatric and adult dosing.
